How do I make sure that my site does not go down
when I change over to your service?
A: Open an account with us and then follow these steps:
1.
Upload a copy of your website to our servers. You will receive a
temporary URL with your account that you can use to make sure your pages
are working properly.
2.
Add your Domain to your account. Go to your Control Panel click on the
Add Domain Name button and add your domain name.

3.
Create or re-create your e-mail accounts in our mail servers. (see
below)

Take step 4 only when you are positive that your site is
ready. |
4.
Access your domain name registrar* and change your DNS information.

*Your domain name registrar is the place where you purchased your domain
name.
5.
Cancel service with your old provider. (Applies only if your web site is
hosted by another provider.)
Q: How is my Domain affected once I
make DNS Changes?
A:
This is very important, please read below.

How your
domain is affected: Once your domain's DNS information is
changed it will take about 2 to 3 days to complete. During this
period of transition, your domain may or may not work from all
places. This issue will automatically resolve itself by no latter
than the 3rd day.

If your web
site is hosted by another service: During the period of
transition, visitors looking at your domain will either see:
a)
your web pages at your old host's servers OR
b)
your web paged hosted in our servers.

How your
e-mail is affected: Please follow the section below
"E-Mail Accounts Transfer" to avoid any email downtime. |
Q: What if I
do not have access to my current domain name to change DNS?
A:
Contact your registrar and ask to change your DNS settings (changing your
name servers to the ones listed above). We are not able to provide
further assistance because we do not have control over your domain name.
Important:
Please forewarn your users about possible e-mail downtime (1 to 3 days)
before making changes to DNS.

How do I create my e-mail accounts before switching
over?
A: Follow these instructions:
1.
Contact support and ask for your mail server IP Address shortcut.
Then login to:
http://[IP ADDRESS]/cgi-bin/qmailadmin (ex.
http://209.189.55.95/cgi-bin/qmailadmin)
User Account:
postmaster (leave as is)
Domain Name: yourdomain.com (do not add www in front)
Password: yourPassword (This is case sensitive)
