Forwards   (What is a Forward?)


 

Every e-mail listed under an Alias account will receive mail

Setup Overview:

  1. Create an E-Mail account (i.e. abc@yourdomain.com)
  2. Then add destination E-Mails where to relay
  3. A single Forward can send to multiple local and external e-mail accounts
  • E-Mail Account: Local e-mails owned by you
  • E-Mail Address: Mail account hosted with another provider; external account

Net effect:

Mail sent to abc@yourdomain.com (Forward) will relay to 123@yourdomain.com (local account) and xyz@othersite.com (external e-mail)

 

Creating Forwards


1. Click on New Aliases under Quick Links

2. Fill in these fields:

  • Forward E-Mail Address: Enter the destination e-mail

  • Local Name: Enter the name of the e-mail account that should be relayed

3. Click Add

 

Modifying/Deleting Forwards


At the Main Menu click on Aliases Forwards

Delete Forward: Select Forward and click on the Delete button
Forwards and Aliases are displayed in the same window. Be careful to delete only the right item.

Modifying Forwards: Click on the Modify button

1. Adding E-Mail Accounts (abc@yourdomain.com to 123@youdomain.com)

  • Add E-mail Account: Select an e-mail account to add to the Alias
    (A Forward can hold multiple e-mail accounts.)

  • Click the Add button

Adding E-Mail Addresses (abc@yourdomain.com to xyz@othersite.com)

  • Add E-Mail Address: Enter ONE e-mail address at a time where mail should forward
    (A forward account can hold multiple real e-mail addresses.)

  • Click the Add button


3.
Delete E-mail from Forward

  • Select E-mail to remove from the Forward

  • Click the Delete button

5. To exit, go to the Main Menu and click Log Out

 

What is Forwarding?

A forward is a way to send any mail that comes to an account on your domain to an email address on another provider. To do this, click on 'Aliases Forwards' under 'Main Menu.' Select an Alias account. Enter the full email address where you want the mail to be sent. Click 'Add' to save the changes.
