Why does the new installed Joomla look so blank?


The default installation does not install sample data. You may get sample_data.sql from joomla package and run in your mysql client.

The downloaded sample_data.sql may not have the same table prefix as ours. For example, sample_data.sql in Joomla_1.5.9-Stable-Full_Package.zip insert data into tables with #__  prefix when our joomla 1.5.8 has tables using jos_ as default prefix. Please open an editor and replace #__ with jos_
