Transfer domain names from Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net to our hosting

Transfer Task 1: Verify that the domain name is eligible for transfer

To make sure your domain name can be transferred, check the following:

• The domain name has been registered for at least 60 days, and has been at Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net for at least 60 days.
• The domain name is not in "client update prohibited" status.

1. Transfer Task 2: Confirm contact information

   Before you can transfer a domain, the Registrant and Administrative contact information must be up-to-date at Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net, because it is these contacts who receive the transfer request and okay the transfer.

   To update these contacts at Stargate, resell.biz, US2.net, or UK2.net:

   1. Log on to your account at stargate.com, resell.biz, cp.us2.net, or cp.uk2.net.
   2. If you are a Reseller, on the "Products" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".

      If you are a Customer, on the "Domains" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".

   3. Leave all text boxes blank. In "Order Creation Date", select "Within All" and click "Search".
   4. Click the domain name you want to transfer.
   5. If the Registrant or Administrative contact information is incorrect, click "Modify Contact Details".
   6. To change to a different contact that is already in your Contact Database, click "Use your existing Contact Database".

      If this is the correct contact but some of the contact details need to be changed (particularly the email address), click "Specify Contact Details".

   7. Follow the instructions in the dialog box to complete the update.

Transfer Task 3: Obtain the authorization code or retag the domain name

Some TLDs require that you provide an authorization code for your domain name, to provide an extra level of assurance that the transfer request comes from an authorized source.

To transfer a .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .name, .cn, .tw, .cc, or .in domain name, obtain the authorization code from Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net

1. Log on to your account at stargate.com, resell.biz, cp.us2.net, or cp.uk2.net.
2. On the "Domains" menu, click "All Product Search".
3. Type the domain name or, for a list of all your domains, leave blank.
4. Click "search".
5. The authorization code appears in the "Domain Secret" box. Copy and save it to supply in the transfer request you submit at Webhost4life.

To retag a .uk domain name:

• Contact Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net and ask them to retag the domain name to ISP tag Webhost4life.
• Alternatively, you can retag/detag directly through Nominet, for a fee.
• When you transfer a .uk domain name, use the Auto verification transfer method.
• You can submit the transfer requests to Webhost4life and Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net in any order.
• If you submit the transfer request to Webhost4life first, you must submit the request to Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net within a week.
• If you submit the transfer request to Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net first, you must submit the request to Webhost4life by the next 8th day of the calendar month.

Transfers of TLDs other than those named above do not require any codes or tags.
